Public bug reported: System is Ubuntu 21.10 (fully updated Feb. 3 2022) on x64 (AMD) with an AMD discreet graphics card (a couple versions old now) running on Wayland. System has run well on this install for years, but a recent update leaves me unable to wake the display after the lock screen puts the monitor to sleep. I'm not aware of any way to recover the system short of REISUB and that's dirty.
Specifically I get no reaction from mouse or keyboard, CTRL-ALT- BACKSPACE has no effect (not sure if it's supposed to work on Wayland, I did enable it previously). System is not sleeping, fans are running, it's just unresponsive. This is a new problem within the last week. ubuntu-bug refuses to take this bug report. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1959964 Title: Monitor won't wake after monitor is put to sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1959964/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
