Wow, a reply on a bug report after 6 years! I did not mean this to be negative, just surprised that I got a response this late. I forgot all about it, but this brings a lot back. Back then, I was mostly wondering what was in the mind of someone to change a user-modifiable config file..
But anyway, the T540 is running 20.04 now, and I dont see that problem anymore; maybe because I dont use a xorg.conf currently. And, the T540 is currently retiring ;-) Anyway, No problem for me anymore. Status can be changed to 'Time made us forget this' ;-) Btw: I'm still proud of my quick fix: 'chattr +i xorg.conf' ;-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574154 Title: xorg.conf changed on start of lightdm service To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1574154/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
