Followup to the last entry: I just switched to the text-console using ctrl-alt-F1 after booting and tried closing and opening the lid multiple times. I got the system to freeze after a few tries (opening and closing the lid about 10 times). I hard rebooted and tried the same thing again, and it locked up again, but with a different error. The error messages where:
"BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference" "BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 00004005" In the attachment are two photos I made of the locked up system showing the errors. I am going to attach dmesg, lspci and other outputs. ** Attachment added: "kernel-bugs.jpg" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11070063/kernel-bugs.jpg -- [6510b] Freeze on Lid-Close https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157171 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
