I experienced the same error today. I have been using X2Go on Windows
connecting to Ubuntu 18 for almost two years and it has been great. It
worked yesterday.

I have tried:
1, reboot the system
2, reinstall the server and client
3, delete all files in /tmp/
4, It still shows: Your home directory path contains non-ASCII characters.
Aborting session startup.
5, I can use PuTTY to connect and it works well.

Are there other ways to solve the problem? Thanks.
