Ok forgive me my ignorance about pipewire, I'm trying to catch up and understand the differences with pulse. Back on 21.10, I followed this wiki on how to enable pipewire + pulseaudio support: https://wiki.debian.org/PipeWire#For_PulseAudio This explicitly mentions pipewire-mediasession and the touch of with-pulseaudio in /etc/pipewire/media-session.d/ which I did and worked flawless on 21.10. My understanding of the problem was that media-session now (22.04) requires wireplumber to work as a pulseaudio replacement *at all*. I didn't know they were alternative solutions for the same problem?
In that case, the bug would be: pipewire + media-session + pulseaudio emulation doesn't work as expected on 22.04.
