Just a heads-up : our automated checking of "pending patches" relied on the (default) non-human-readable output - which seems to still omit the ESM patches.
Compare: ``` $ sudo /usr/lib/update-notifier/apt-check --human-readable UA Infra: Extended Security Maintenance (ESM) is enabled. 11 updates can be applied immediately. 6 of these updates are UA Infra: ESM security updates. To see these additional updates run: apt list --upgradable ``` vs ``` $ sudo /usr/lib/update-notifier/apt-check 11;0 ``` I would personally expect to see `11;6` (OS = Xenial with ESM), but I suppose there may be good reasons not to change the default output? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1881632 Title: esm security updates not reported by apt update-notifier To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/1881632/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
