Afterthought: Now that I understand pipewire, pipewire-media-session and wireplumber better (also thanks to this discussion) I, like most people, prefer wireplumber. So in the end it's not a bad thing to have to install wireplumber. It's just annoying that my previous setup stopped working. Thx again!
