Public bug reported:

An icon indicating that most likely I had installed package that have
unmet dependencies.

When launching the update manager, I get the following error report:

Could not initialize the package information

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and
include the following error message:

'E:Malformed line 50 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist
parse), E:The list of sources could not be read.'

I didn't find this exact error so I filed in this bug report. If it has
been already addressed, please point me to appropriate report.

In the meantime, I don't know how to resolve this issue :-(

Please help.
