using Hardy Heron (didn't work in Gutsy or Feisty either of course), on
a HP compaq nx7400 laptop, kernel 2.6.24
suspend seems to work basically, but hibernate does not. and there's no
way to somehow rescue myself once the screen has gone black and there's
error messages.
