I have a weird use case where my old uefi macbook pro only works with
the aging nvidia 340 drivers when using a bios install. This is
necessary due to thermal problems with nouveau. after my most recent
upgrade to 22.04 from 21.10 i get this error:

It appears that the installer mistakenly configured itself for efi mode and has
installed the wrong grub which is not uninstallable. The system weirdly
functions properly aside from this message after every system update.
