** Description changed:

- Using oooqs2-kde 1.0-0ubuntu1 on Kununtu 7.10.
+ Using oooqs2-kde 1.0-0ubuntu1 on Kubuntu 7.10.

Selecting from the OO Quick Start systray icon did not appear to open
  any OO application window.

Found later that I had logged in twice as the same user. All the
missing OO application windows were on the desktop of the other log in
  instance.

Not what one would want or expect. Logging in twice might be a newbie
but I guess most newbies would end of rebooting, which would make the
problem go away until next time.
