just a few comments:
For Hardy i suggest to update kalarm to version 1.4.21 = latest stable upstream
which allready includes the fix for this.
For gutsy 3 reasons for an SRU:
* $ apt-cache policy kalarm | grep main
500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com gutsy/main Packages

* $ apt-cache policy kalarm | grep enter
