This can happen when: -'proposed' archive has been enabled, and a 'proposed' package version is loaded then unloaded by the maintainer from the said archive - some third party(ies) has been used then deactivated from the sources
So if a proposed package has been abandonned then unloaded from the archive, then it means that this version was not good enough (side bad effect for example), then you have to force this (ese) package(s) to the previous version to be trouble free. ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1856294 Title: programs in "Installed (local or obsolete)" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/1856294/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
