On my computer I have a 500gb ssd drive, as well as a 1tb regard hard
drive. I've installed windows on the SSD and am trying to install
ubuntu on the M.2 NVME stick.

The installer said it couldn't install because there wasn't enough
space but this was on a 128gb M.2 nvme stick.
