I should have written: it would be a good base if you could confirm that j3400 boots without the extra delay of ~6 minutes after the plain procedure with no other experiments inbetween Reading my text proposal for the tutorial, i now think it should give less info. Like On some very old and meanwhile rare machines it can last 10 minutes or longer until you see this welcome screen. If you really have to wait that long, consider to read the article [link] about a possible cause and a workaround. The article would explain that - the Ubuntu ISOs contain a boot flag as inavoidable workaround for booting some old and not so rare machines, - which causes the long boot delay with some other old and rarer machines, - and can be disabled by the dd procedure.
