Hi Graeme,

Since you have the restricted modules installed (ie a proprietary
module), your kernel has been tainted.  Since your kernel is tainted,
the upstream kernel community will not help with this issue.  The
following wiki can help explain about tainted kernels a bit more
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelOops .  Per the ubuntu kernel
team's bug policy, can you please attach the following information:

* uname -a > uname-a.log
* cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
* dmesg > dmesg.log
* sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
