Hi Graeme, Since you have the restricted modules installed (ie a proprietary module), your kernel has been tainted. Since your kernel is tainted, the upstream kernel community will not help with this issue. The following wiki can help explain about tainted kernels a bit more https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelOops . Per the ubuntu kernel team's bug policy, can you please attach the following information:
* uname -a > uname-a.log * cat /proc/version_signature > version.log * dmesg > dmesg.log * sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment. For more information regarding the kernel team bug policy, please refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies . Thanks again and we appreciate your help and feedback. -- KVM dies after resuming from suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163862 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
