I downloaded Hardy Alpha2 and the live cd refused to work with my
computer. It would get stuck randomly at the boot sequence and refuse to
start X. I'll wait until Alpha3.

I think however I know why my card refused to work with the gutsy
livecd. The reason is that iwconfig and network manager will not work
with the prism2_usb drivers unless the linux-wlan-ng package is
installed and running. Once that package is installed and the computer
is rebooted (the package adds something to the boot sequence), the card
works fine. Therefore a solution to this problem is that the livecd
should be built with the linux-wlan-ng package installed. It is a small
package and I don't think it will do anything major to the livecd. I
will try this out on my gutsy install the moment I can access it.
