It needs the topology binary (skl_hda_dsp_generic-tplg.bin) which can be generated by the Makefile shipped with alsa-topology-conf package.
@Timo has file a bug upstream in lp:1915117 #38 and #39 and said we could build it in d/rules and ship it. @Timo can you check if anything wrong.
