Same problem here with google-chrome-stable 101.0.4951.64-1 and firefox (snap) 100.0.2-1 I'm using ubuntu 22.04, cinnamon 5.2.7-4, mutter 42.0-3ubuntu2.
Which is even more annoying: When I change the directory, sometimes the file is not saved at all. This is repoducible for some directories, ohters work.
