I tested installing the final Ubuntu 22.04 image in qemu and did not
encounter a crash as you describe. I did notice the following suspicious
message in your log file:

Feb 12 17:56:01 ubuntu ubiquity: The device contains 'zfs_member'
signature and it may remain on the device. It is recommended to wipe the
device with wipefs(8) or sfdisk --wipe, in order to avoid possible
collisions.
