Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

In the version of Evolution included right now in the upcoming Ubuntu
8.04, Hardy Heron, there is a bug which makes it impossible to use this
in germany.

Because of legal issues german users get a @googlemail.com adress, while
people from other countries get a @gmail.com adress..

That the bug is about this issue, I recognized looking at the status bar while
trying a connection.
I attached a screenshot where you can see both my Google Calendar Account and
Evolution.

It ends up in [EMAIL PROTECTED]@gmail.com or, if I would leave the domain, in
[EMAIL PROTECTED] :(
To work, it should only be "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"..

Sad, that the plugin doesnt work for me - I personally know have to use
the Google Data Provider Plugin of Thunderbird + Lightning, again -
until I recognize I can switch over to Evolution!

Thats sad, because we use the Google Calendar here extensively, and if
Evolution could to this, I could finally get my coworkers to switch over
to the default Ubuntu distribution completely.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
