Public bug reported:

when changing values in the indicator menu between
performance/balanced/powersave these values are not reflected when
checking the settings with cpufreq-info, or manually looking at
/proc/cpuinfo.

Furthermore the option "Balanced" that its offering for selection seems
not to really exist, as per cpufreq-info.
