That's the upstream fix, Alexander, you're right! I didn't realize luk1337 committed it upstream and not just to Void Linux.
If you wish, you can change "Origin: vendor" in the patch header to "Origin: upstream" with a link to that commit. The fix should make it into the next upstream release.
