Public bug reported:

There are multiple instances where users will attempt to attach an
Ubuntu Pro token to their machine that is behind some proxy, firewall,
use of a custom SSL cert, etc and aren't aware of the network
requirements for Ubuntu Pro or know how to configure their proxy.
There's also an issue with this URL [1] being really too long to look
nice in a terminal.

Here's an example of what that could look like

sudo pro attach <Token>
Failed to connect to authentication server.
Ensure the network requirements are met <URL>
Proxies can be set with, pro config set http_proxy=""

Alternatively, to exclude the URL.

sudo pro attach <Token>
Failed to connect to contracts.canonical.com:443
Proxies can be set with, pro config set http_proxy=""

For the most part, these connectivity issues are already logged in
/var/log/ubuntu-advantage.log and this feature request would allow a
user to be aware of the issue. Not sure how this could be implemented
with better UX in mind. Option for --debug or -v,--verbose?
