Confirmed this is still an issue on 22.04.4 LTS. Basically the same setup as OP. We've had it happen twice, first time on Jan 24, and the second time today on March 27. Restarting the daemon with systemd resolves the issue.
I took a look at our monitoring and noticed that the number of threads on the system increased linearly from ~1.1k to ~2.1k for about 1.6h just before the problem started to appear, and then stayed there until the restart. The file table usage also increased almost linearly during the same period by about 1.5k open files and dropped back down at the restart. Inode table usage was unaffected until the restart where it dropped slightly and then went back up. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1010609 Title: Apcupsd leaks file descriptors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apcupsd/+bug/1010609/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
