I was! Had to find the old disk with Mantic. I couldn't get anywhere with Noble. Unseen by me NetworkManager had been removed and couldn't be reinstalled due to these unmet dependencies. After a reboot I didn't even have Ethernet, much less WiFi.
Has this issue been resolved now.
