Easier way to reproduce: Create file /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf
with content
[Autologin]
Relogin=false
Session=plasma
User=nonexistentuser
** Changed in: sddm-kcm (Ubuntu)
Status: Incomplete => New
