I've observed the same behaviour with Noble installer, and it does appear to be very counter-intuitive for a user to select "Don't send" and then be told that their send request failed.
On a related point, the UI appears to block on this network request - which is probably not necessary - and when the server is not responding in a timely manner it leads to a UI that looks like it's hung. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1761739 Title: Submits a message to a remote server even when "No, don't send any info" is selected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-initial-setup/+bug/1761739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
