On this box (hp 8200) the text plymouth is used... and this it reports
as Lubuntu 23.10 during boot.
- hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600)
** expected result
On booting a Lubuntu noble beta (24.04) I expect it to say 24.04
** actual result
It reports itself as Lubuntu 23.10 with some dots during boot
