Networkmanager is only notifed about the finished and successful dhcp request
and doesn't set it by itself.
Please check /var/lib/dhcp3/dhclient.eth0.leases (or change eth0 to your
matching device) for options supplied by your dhcp server built into the router.
The resolv.conf is actually set by /etc/dhcp3/dhclient-script and the
dhclient.conf.
If you notice problems with dhclient, which are not caused by a
misconfiguration of your router, open a new bug report for 'dhcp3-client'.
