Distribution Kubuntu 7.10: just after start after the installation, the system
prompted a request for an upgrade to version 7.10
?
I tought it should be already a 7.10 version!

I have similar problem - crash on distribution upgrage in fresh kubuntu
7.10 alternate CD (and desktop version) on packages ttf-opensymbol,
openoffice.org-core, python-uno, openoffice.org-writer, openoffice.org-
draw, openoffice.org-impress, openoffice.org-kde, openoffice.org-math,
openoffice.org-calc, openoffice.org-common, openoffice.org-java-common,
openoffice.org-style-human, openoffice.org-style-crystal - then, not
reaching cleanup, this tool frozen. During installation any new programm
appears errors from these same programs, i try deinstall its - all
leaving, except ttf-opensymbol. I can't install anything(( - on install
appears error from ttf-opensymbol and stop it, . Reboot don't help
this. Please help...

the distribution upgrade crashed: after a popup window came out saying that
some programs were not supported anymore by the actual distribution, and after
the close-window button was pressed.
