Public bug reported:

On upgrade:

dpkg: error processing archive
/tmp/apt-dpkg-install-XBgJir/16-xpra-codecs-extras_6.0-r0-1_amd64.deb
(--unpack):
 trying to overwrite
'/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/xpra/codecs/avif/__init__.py', which is also in
package xpra-codecs 5.0.8-r0-1
dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

On attempt to upgrade again:

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 xpra-codecs-extras : Depends: xpra-codecs (= 5.0.8-r0-1) but 6.0-r0-1 is
installed
                      Recommends: gstreamer-plugins-ugly but it is not
installable
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or
specify a solution).

$ aptitude why xpra-codecs-extras
Automatically installed, current version 5.0.8-r0-1, priority optional
No dependencies require to install xpra-codecs-extras
$ aptitude why xpra-codecs
u   xpra Depends xpra-codecs (= 6.0-r0-1)

I just removed xpra-codecs-extras and things returned to normal.

** Affects: xpra (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Project changed: ubuntu-desktop-provision => xpra (Ubuntu)
