Can you reliably reproduce the issue? I can run this just fine:
autopkgtest-build-lxd ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64
Does LXD otherwise work fine for you? That is, does the following work?
lxc launch ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64 foo
lxc exec foo true
** Changed in: autopkgtest (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
