Hi,first I'd like to thank you for your answer.

I was not aware of configuring a mirror. i would not even know how I did
that... What I did was adding i386 on arm because I noticed wine
disappearing from the software center and i've tried installing it via
terminal.

Wine installation, as any other package since then, has failed and
results in update commands not updating anything (repositories, packages
etc.)

I am not familiar with ubuntu so I'm totally aware of messing something
up, but unable to reverse it sadly.

I severely modified ubuntu with extensions and things and I'm quite
happy with how the system works and looks overall now, except for the
impossibility to update it.

I am also aware not reporting a bug, but m quite capable in using google
and keywords, finding solutions on my own, and I did not find an actual
fix
