I can see two issues here that might explain "system gets jammed":
(a) sda (The Western Digital 80GB hard disk) is experiencing hardware errors which can cause long freezes. (b) nouveau doesn't have adequate firmware which can cause freezes (actually nouveau can cause freezes regardless). Please consider replacing the Western Digital hard disk first.
