Description: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Release: 24.04
$ apt-cache policy gnome-text-editor
gnome-text-editor:
Installed: 46.1-1
Candidate: 46.1-1
Version table:
*** 46.1-1 500
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
After entering a key after a dead key, the dead key glyph should
disappear from the cursor.
Every time I enter a key after a dead key, the dead key glyph follows
the cursor around until I press Backspace, which deletes the dead key
glyph *and* the last letter I typed.
Please, see a video of the bug here: https://youtu.be/RF5s0UT3KoE
This doesn’t happen in any other Gnome application that I’ve tried.
** Affects: gnome-text-editor (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Summary changed:
- Dead keys trailing after entering text
+ Dead keys trailing cursor after entering text
