Oh, one other thing to check -- I did note that for some reason the boards aren't auto-detected under Ubuntu. I did need to add "dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus" to /boot/firmware/config.txt on my board. I'm not sure why the auto-detection isn't operating for us (the overlays are present and in the right place, as otherwise the dtoverlay= line wouldn't work), but it's another thing worth checking.
