Public bug reported:
When I plug in an external screen into my laptop, after resuming from
sleep the screen remains blank and cannot be woken unless I reboot.
Switching to another tty doesn't work either.
I'm using Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Steps to reproduce:
1) Log into a Gnome on Wayland session
2) Leave computer alone until sleep
3) Press a key on a keyboard to wake up
4) Status indicator LED shows that resuming started but the screen remains
blank.
The screen should turn on with the lock screen instead.
The issue doesn't happen when the external screen is not connected. I
tried connecting the screen using a USB-C to DisplayPort and HDMI cables
as well, with the same results.
