I see. You will most likely want to have the 'snapd' snap package installed, so
that you would receive the latest updates to snapd (I'm not aware of the exact
policies, but the snapd deb might lag behind the snap).
Also snapd-desktop-integration is a separate package than snapd, and you will
certainly want to have that installed as well.
