Public bug reported: Since Linux Kernel 6-5-0-1024-oem update external monitor, connected over thunderbolt cable, does not show image but is detected by correct name and refresh rate.
Kernel by oem-sutton-addie-meta enabled in software package additional driver section. -- Installed Kubuntu 22.04: Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS Release 22.04 -- Kernel linux-oem-6.5.0-1024 -- Device: Lenovo Thinkpad T16 Gen 2 AMD https://ubuntu.com/certified/202309-32045 Current Kernel: Linux 6.5.0-1024-oem -- Expected: Connect external display Samsung LC34J791WTU LED (34") over thunderbolt and get video signal. -- What happend instead: External display is detected but no video. Blackscreen instead. I need to manually choose older kernel "Linux 6.5.0-1023-oem" during boot to get video signal correctly. Seems like something broke in 6.5.0-oem-1024 release Additional info: Same wrong behaviour on linux kernel 6.5.0-41-generic but video works on older 6.5.0.35-generic selected during boot. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2070094 Title: Thunderbolt video broken after Kernel 6-5-0-1024-oem update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2070094/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
