Public bug reported: [ Impact ]
When logging in with gnome-shell using an authd-based broker that supports qrcode (web) based authentication, there's no way for the user to generate a new login code. [ Test case ] 1. Install and configure authd and a broker https://github.com/ubuntu/authd/wiki 2. Start web-based authentication with a broker 3. A button to regenerate the login code should be available and once pressed it should show a new login code [ Regression potential ] Note that authd is not yet available in noble, thus wrong behaviors when logging in with it can't be considered really "regressions". ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Marco Trevisan (Treviño) (3v1n0) Status: In Progress ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: High Assignee: Marco Trevisan (Treviño) (3v1n0) Status: In Progress ** Also affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marco Trevisan (Treviño) (3v1n0) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2072711 Title: Qrcode based authentication does not allow to request a new login code To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2072711/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
