Hi,
just stumbled on the fact that after upgrading Ubuntu 23.10 to 24.04,
docker-compose does not work anymore and issues a long list of error
messages, difficult to understand.
reason: docker-compose is outdated and just incompatible with the docker
version coming with ubuntu 24.04, and instead package docker-compose-v2 needs
to be installed and instead of "docker-compose", "docker compose" needs to be
used.
Therefore, it does not make sense to still have the old docker-compose
package in 24.04 if it does not work with 24.04's docker version.
It should be removed and replaced with a dummy package just pulling in
docker-compose-v2 to avoid such problems, especially for the LTS upgrade vom
22.04 to 24.04, therefore before releasing 24.04.1
