Retested today after upgrade to kernel 6.8.0-38-generic. Same behavior as before. System is freezing after some user activity while logging in. Sometimes login finishes but then system freezes once there is some user activity.
Also testest with additional kernel parameter "nomodeset" as it seemed to me that his is related to i915 GPU. System is working stable but with not optimal screen resolution and a lot of dimesg warnings like: intel ips 0000:00:1f.6: failed to disable graphics turbo Any idea how the behavior like with kernel 6.5 like in Ubuntu 23.10 can be restored also with 6.8 kernel? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2071523 Title: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS freezes on Thinkpad T510 with kernel 6.8.0-36-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/2071523/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
