To fix this issue, open up a terminal and type in: sudo apt-get install xaralx

Remark: apt does not even recognize that xara is already installed.
Doing sudo apt-get remove --purge xaralx will notify you that the package is 
not installed on the system...
Don't know how THAT one happened...
