Public bug reported:
Attempting to use calamares from a LiveOS based on Ubuntu 24.04
(Including the new Linux Mint) is unable to create any partitions except
the fat32 boot partition, all other are failing. This means to install
using calamares you have to pre partition using gparted or manually from
the terminal, then it works as expected. This wasn't an issue in older
Ubuntu versions.
To make it easier to figure out the actual cause of the issue I'll also
mention krill is also unable to partition correctly and fails to install
as with calamares older versions of Ubuntu also don't have this
problem.
This is a problem for making respins as these are the two tools often
used by us to make the installation easier for end users.
The error shown is rsync error 11, which is the output path isn't
available to write.
** Affects: calamares (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
