Thanks for reporting. The root cause seems to be that the GUI has not been ported from GTK2 to newer versions. So it seems to have been disabled on purpose until it works with newer GTK versions. See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=967320 for more details
