Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

I have a Toshiba Tecra M3 laptop running Ubuntu Gutsy. I have installed
the patches in bug #139045 in order to fix the suspend issue and this
works when the machine is undocked but the machine does not suspend when
docked.

On the docking station if I try to suspend the laptop:

- the screen blanks
- the light on the right of the docking station indicating the laptop is
powered on turns off
- the fan turns to full blast

but the power light never changes to a flashing orange, have left for
>=15mins many times trying this but it never works. It seems to freeze
the machine as opening the lid again turns the screen on but it is blank
and it does not respond to key presses and requires the machine to be
forcefully turned off in order to use it again.

If I undock the laptop, then suspend it and dock it again this works
properly and can wake up from the suspend state on the docking station.

Connected to the docking station is only a mouse and AC power. Undocked
but with the mouse plugged in still allows the machine to suspend. It
will also successfully suspend undocked on both battery and AC power.

dmidecode and lspci are both identical between the docked and undocked
states. The diff between lspci in these two states is a single line:

$ diff lspcivv-docked lspcivv-undocked
135c135
< Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME+
---
> Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-

Thanks
