Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Failed fsck, with corrupted inodes.
Ubuntu 7.10 with all updates to present, running on a Acer Aspire with AMD
Athlon 64 K2 processor, 512M ram and an 80G HD.
Numerous inodes needed repair, and this happened before, causing me to
re-install the system all over again. Hard drive has been verified as good.
Noticed freezing of video prior to these incidents, resuming with stuttering.
Now after repair, it boots to a blank screen (lost wallpaper), file browser is
intermittent,
Sometimes sees directory, sometimes not.
Wallpaper returned after a few minutes.
HELP!
Don't want to keep re-installing this system and all updates!
Thanks,
Doug
