There are some fixes going in to the next Ubuntu 6.8 kernel coming out,
but I was wondering if you could test booting with the option
"i915.enable_psr2_sel_fetch=0" on the kernel command line.

You can either add this in grub when you reboot the machine, or by
adding it to the kernel command line in the grub config file, and
updating grub.

If you need info on any of this, please let me know.
