It worked! :D

I used wpa2 with aes, truncated the key to 20 characters and it sprang
to life.  Although with this method I have to use the key i inputed into
the router directly instead of using wpa_passphrase <ssid> <key> to
generate a code to use in the interfaces file.

Thanks very much.  I look forward to someone actually fixing the entire
thing.
